Quick answer

To connect a Facebook Page to Hyvo, the AI social media management tool, click Connect in the sidebar, click Connect account and choose Facebook. Approve access on Facebook's screen, making sure your Page is ticked there, then select the Page in Hyvo and click Connect. Hyvo connects Facebook Pages only, not personal profiles.

Key takeaways

  • Hyvo connects Facebook Pages, not personal profiles, and only Pages your account can post to.
  • Tick the Page on Facebook's permission screen; Hyvo can only list the Pages you allow there.
  • Add more Pages with Connect another, or pick Facebook again: Hyvo reuses your permission without another Facebook sign-in.

Hyvo is an AI social media management tool that publishes to all your networks from one composer. For Facebook, that means your Pages: Hyvo posts to the Facebook Pages you choose, never to a personal profile. This guide covers connecting your first Page, adding more, and fixing the problems people most often hit.

What do you need before you connect Facebook to Hyvo?

You need a Facebook account that can post to the Page, and the Owner or Admin role in your Hyvo workspace. Hyvo only connects Pages, so a personal profile can't be added. On Facebook, your account needs permission to create content on the Page, not just to view it: Pages you can only view appear in Hyvo's list but can't be selected.

  • The right Facebook login. If your Pages are spread across more than one Facebook account, a Page only appears under the account that manages it.
  • Your Hyvo role. Connect appears in the sidebar for Owners and Admins only.
  • Your allowance. Each Page counts as one social account. The Free plan includes three in total; the pricing page shows the others.

How do you start connecting Facebook?

Click Connect at the bottom of the left sidebar, below Settings. Click Connect account in the top-right corner. In the "Connect an account" window, which says "Pick a network. You choose the exact account on the next step.", click the Facebook card. It reads: "Publishes to the Pages you pick on Facebook, not to a personal profile." The Facebook icon in the row at the top of the Connect page does the same.

Nothing is connected yet. You've only chosen the network.

What do you approve on Facebook's screen?

Facebook shows its own sign-in and permission screen. Log in with the account that manages your Page and approve access. If Facebook asks which Pages Hyvo may use, tick every Page you might want to connect: Hyvo can only list the Pages you allow here. Hyvo never sees your Facebook password, and returns to the Connect page when you approve.

Ticking a Page on Facebook's screen doesn't connect it to Hyvo. It only makes the Page available to choose in the next step.

How do you choose the Page in Hyvo?

Hyvo shows the Pages your permission covers. Each row has the Page's picture and name, a "Page" label, its @handle and follower count, and "Publishes through" followed by the Facebook account behind it. Select the circle on the Page you want and click Connect. As the window says, "Hyvo connects the one account you pick. You can add another afterwards."

The Connect button stays greyed out until you select a Page; the footer reminds you that "Nothing is connected until you choose." If a Page can't be selected, a note under it explains why, usually: "You can view this Page but not post to it. Ask a Page admin for content permission."

When it's done, a "Connected" window confirms that "Hyvo publishes to this account." Click Done, and the Page appears in your account list with the Facebook badge on its picture.

How do you add another Facebook Page?

If your permission covers more Pages, the "Connected" window offers Connect another. Click it, select the next Page and click Connect. Later, click the Facebook card again: while the permission you gave is still valid, Hyvo reuses it and shows the Page list straight away, without sending you back through Facebook. Pages already linked are marked "Already connected · choosing it again refreshes its permission."

Each Page is a separate account in Hyvo, so in the composer you choose per post which Pages it goes to. Facebook posts can be long, up to 63,206 characters, and carry one image or one video each. After publishing, Hyvo reads back each post's likes, comments and shares for Hyvo's analytics.

What if your Facebook Page isn't showing?

Hyvo can only list Pages that both your Facebook account manages and your permission covers. If one is missing, it's almost always the second part: the Page wasn't ticked on Facebook's screen. Start the connection again and tick it. If Hyvo says the permission "doesn't cover any account Hyvo can publish to", no Page was allowed at all.

Work through these in order:

  • Check the account in use. The "Publishes through" line shows which Facebook account Hyvo sees. If it's the wrong one, log out of Facebook in the browser, log in with the right account, and connect again.
  • Allow the Page on Facebook. Start again from Connect account and tick the Page when Facebook asks.
  • Check your Page role. If the Page appears but can't be selected, ask a Page admin to give you permission to create content.
  • Check it's a Page. Personal profiles never appear, because Hyvo connects Pages only.
  • Test existing connections. Check connections at the top of the Connect page confirms whether each connected Page still works.

Once your Page is connected, write your first Facebook post from the New post button, or see how scheduling works on Hyvo's publishing calendar. The integrations page lists every network Hyvo connects.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect a personal Facebook profile to Hyvo?

No. Hyvo connects Facebook Pages only and publishes to the Pages you pick, never to a personal profile.

Why can't I see my Facebook Page in Hyvo?

Usually because the Page wasn't ticked on Facebook's permission screen, or you're signed in to a Facebook account that doesn't manage it. Start the connection again with the right account and tick the Page.

Why can't I select a Facebook Page in the list?

Your Facebook account can view the Page but not post to it. Ask a Page admin to give you permission to create content, then connect again.

Can I connect more than one Facebook Page?

Yes. Click Connect another after the first Page, or pick Facebook again later. Hyvo reuses your permission, and each Page counts as one social account.

Does Hyvo keep my Facebook password?

No. You approve access on Facebook's own screen, and Hyvo works from the permission Facebook grants, never from your password.
